Searching for an emergency dentist in the West Loop often follows a specific change: a tooth suddenly hurts when you bite, an old restoration comes loose or swelling appears around a gum. Premier Dentistry at Millennium Park identifies emergency, general and preventive dentistry as broad areas of care. Contact the practice to explain the change and ask about arrangements at its North Michigan Avenue location.
Describe what you felt when the problem began. If you noticed a sharp sensation during lunch, say where it occurred, how long it lasted and whether it happened again. Mention any swelling, bleeding or recent impact so that the full concern is communicated. Include whether your teeth still meet normally and whether you can comfortably open your mouth.
Before traveling across downtown, ask whether an appointment is available for the problem you describe. Explain if you are visiting Chicago, have a limited window before travel or have records with another dentist. Ask what information would be useful and confirm the next step before organizing your journey from the West Loop.

A Truly Positive Experience!
I can't thank this dental office enough! From my very first visit with the hygienist to my most recent appointment, every interaction has been absolutely delightful. I've already raved about my experience to several people.
I was particularly impressed with how smoothly everything went. I genuinely felt **no pain**, even after the Novocain wore off, which was a huge relief. My only "challenge" now is remembering to chew on my right side because my treated left side feels so incredibly normal!
The entire team made what could have been a daunting change a truly positive experience. Highly recommend!
Dr. Brand, thank you! She is a very confident, positive and vibrant person.
Dr. Brand understands the practicality, importance and artistic value of one’s teeth. The dental areas/spaces have advanced technological equipment and the best part is WTTW’s Food Channel. The attentive and professional tone of the dental assistants and office staff is noted as they work alongside Dr. Brand.
Personally, for over 50 years I’ve walked into these offices and received excellent dental care and advice. Again, thanks!

Ended up breaking my tooth in a skateboard accident. Dr. Brand saw me that day. She capped the tooth and it looks like nothing happened. I tell people I broke a tooth and show the repair and they are always amazed by how normal it looks (down to the slight yellowing to match my natural teeth). Would highly recommend for cosmetic dental procedures.
Dr Brand is amazing. We travel from the far suburbs to see her. She is kind, patient and down to earth. Listens to our concerns and is an excellent dentist. She is a perfectionist in her work, which is exactly what we want with our oral care.
When a tooth goes AWOL, sideways, you name it, you would think a trip to the dentist would be the last form of pleasure on Earth. Au contraire, mon ami. Premier Dentistry is my favorite destination for tooth repairs and maintenance. Dr. Brand is superb. Everyone at Premier is tops.
Dr. Brand's expertise, thoroughness in her care and explanations, responsiveness, and kind manner make the experience highly valued. I feel fortunate to be in her care.
The staff at Premier Dentistry is always helpful! Received a reminder call to pre-med for my appointment, had a good cleaning with Natalie and an exam with Dr. Brand. Visits are always a very pleasant experience.
It is always a very pleasant experience to go to Premier Dentistry. Everyone on staff is professional, polite, friendly, and very skilled. Dr. Brand is an excellent dentist who makes any dental work easy and understandable. I highly recommend Premier Dentistry.
Dr. Brand and the whole team at Premier Dentistry are just exceptional. I never write reviews, but this team truly goes above and beyond to make sure that you are comfortable and taken care of. Dr. Brand is an incredible dentist- knowledgeable, efficient, and empathetic about any anxiety you might be having. Can’t really recommend this team enough!
Highly recommend. been going to Dr. Brand and Premier Dentistry for years, and they are the best dental practice I've ever been to. Dr. Brand is very knowledgeable, kind, and helpful, as are all of the hygienists, receptionists, and other people there. They make communications and appointments easy, are flexible, and always discuss costs thoroughly with me beforehand.
Dr. Brand has solved some dental issues that other practices either caused or had no solution for. I wish I could bring them with me when I move out of Chicago soon!
Some urgent dental problems are visible, while others mainly change how a tooth feels. Pay attention to symptoms that persist, worsen or affect eating and sleeping. Describe when symptoms occur naturally. Avoid repeatedly pressing, tapping or biting on a tooth to investigate it yourself, since that can add discomfort and pressure to an already sensitive area.
Pain when chewing or releasing a bite
Describe whether pain occurs when you press down, release pressure or chew a particular food. Tell the dentist if your bite feels different or a tooth seems taller than the others. Also mention recent dental work, clenching or an impact. These details help guide the assessment of bite-related discomfort.
A missing filling or loose crown may leave a tooth sensitive or difficult to clean. Save any recovered piece and avoid hard or sticky foods around that tooth. Never attach it with household adhesives. Ask for dental advice even if the exposed area does not currently hurt.
Gum swelling, drainage or a persistent bad taste
Report the location and whether the swelling is growing. Drainage can sometimes reduce pressure while the underlying cause still needs attention. Keep seeking assessment and avoid squeezing, puncturing or attempting to drain the area yourself. Fever, facial swelling or feeling ill calls for urgent professional evaluation.
A tooth that moves, changes position or no longer meets the opposite teeth normally needs urgent dental attention. Avoid wiggling it or forcing it into position. Mention any blow to the head, jaw pain or loss of consciousness, since those findings may require emergency medical assessment.
Dental pain may fluctuate with temperature, pressure and activity. A tooth can feel better after you stop chewing on it or take pain medicine, then become uncomfortable again later. Keep track of that pattern and arrange assessment for persistent or recurring symptoms. Note whether discomfort begins on its own, follows a trigger or continues after the trigger has passed.
While seeking advice, choose foods that require little chewing and use the opposite side when comfortable. Brush carefully to keep the area clean, but avoid scraping a damaged tooth or pushing objects beneath the gum. A gentle warm-water rinse can help clear loose debris. Avoid very hot or cold drinks when they trigger symptoms.
For swelling after an impact, apply a wrapped cold compress to the outside of the face in brief intervals. Keep ice away from direct contact with skin and avoid heat on unexplained facial swelling. For oral bleeding, apply firm pressure with clean gauze. Heavy bleeding that continues despite pressure calls for emergency medical attention, particularly after significant trauma.
Use nonprescription pain medicines according to their labels and your personal medical circumstances. Check with a pharmacist if you take other medicines, are pregnant or have conditions that may limit your options. Check ingredients before combining products. Keep aspirin away from direct contact with the gum, and use antibiotics only when prescribed for the current problem.
If discomfort seems to come from food caught between teeth, gentle flossing may help remove it. Stop if floss catches on a damaged restoration or causes significant pain. Avoid needles, pins and other sharp objects. Tell the dentist if food repeatedly collects in the same place, especially when that area also bleeds or becomes tender.
Organize the details before crossing downtown
Write down the symptom timeline before contacting the office. Include when you first noticed the problem, what changed most recently and what you have taken for relief. If a tooth broke, note whether the damage followed a fall, a sports injury or ordinary chewing. Everyday descriptions are useful: explain what happened, what you felt and what you can see.
Confirm appointment arrangements before leaving the West Loop. Use the full North Michigan Avenue address and Suite 1503 when planning the trip. Current traffic, transit conditions and your starting location will affect the journey. Ask about the entrance and any building-access information you need, including accessibility details relevant to your visit.
Have your medication list, allergies and relevant medical history available. If you have dental benefit information, bring it so you can ask specific questions about your circumstances. Request an explanation of examination charges and any proposed treatment estimate. Ask your insurer about applicable benefits, network status and any requirements that could affect your costs.
Before leaving any dental visit, make sure you understand the next step. Ask what symptoms should prompt another call, how to care for the affected area and whether follow-up is needed. If additional care or referral is recommended, clarify its urgency and what information should accompany you. Written instructions can be helpful when discomfort makes details difficult to remember.

About emergency dentist west loop and visiting Premier Dentistry.
How can I contact Premier Dentistry about emergency dentist west loop?
Use the call link on this page to speak with the practice about your dental concern and appointment availability. Our office is at 30 N. Michigan Avenue, Suite 1503, Chicago, IL 60602. Describe what brings you in so the team can help you plan the next step.
Which address should I use when coming from the West Loop?
The practice is at 30 N. Michigan Avenue, Suite 1503, Chicago, IL 60602, in the Loop beside Millennium Park. Confirm your appointment before leaving the West Loop and use current directions from your starting location. Ask for any entrance or building-access details you need for your visit.
What should I say if a tooth starts hurting during a meal?
Explain which part of your mouth hurts and whether the pain started with biting, a hot or cold food, or a visible break. Mention whether discomfort stops quickly or continues afterward. Stop chewing on the affected area and avoid testing it repeatedly. Report swelling or fever as part of the same conversation.
What should I do if a crown comes off but the tooth feels fine?
Contact a dentist for advice because the exposed tooth may be vulnerable to damage or sensitivity. Keep the crown in a clean container, clean the area gently and avoid chewing hard or sticky foods on that side. Bring the crown to the assessment. Avoid household glue and forcing the crown back into place.
What if a permanent tooth is knocked out while I am in the West Loop?
Seek immediate dental help. Pick up the tooth by its crown, avoid touching the root and rinse briefly if dirty without scrubbing. If you cannot safely reinsert it, store it in milk or a tooth-preservation solution and keep it moist. Never reinsert a baby tooth. Major facial or head injuries also require emergency medical care.
Can I ask about costs before deciding on treatment?
Yes. Ask about the charge for assessment and request an estimate for recommended treatment. Clarify what the estimate includes, whether further visits may be needed and what payment information is required. If you have dental insurance, contact your plan about benefits and network status, and ask what information it needs to assess coverage.
Which symptoms mean I should seek medical help immediately?
Difficulty breathing, inability to swallow saliva or rapidly worsening swelling of the face or neck requires emergency medical attention; call 911 for life-threatening symptoms. Swelling near the eye, severe facial injury and uncontrolled heavy bleeding also need emergency evaluation. Seek that care immediately. Dental follow-up may be needed after medical stabilization.
