A Truly Positive Experience! I can't thank this dental office enough! From my very first visit with the hygienist to my most recent appointment, every interaction has been absolutely delightful. I've already raved about my experience to several people. I was particularly impressed with how smoothly everything went. I genuinely felt **no pain**, even after the Novocain wore off, which was a huge relief. My only "challenge" now is remembering to chew on my right side because my treated left side feels so incredibly normal! The entire team made what could have been a daunting change a truly positive experience. Highly recommend!

Dr. Brand, thank you! She is a very confident, positive and vibrant person. Dr. Brand understands the practicality, importance and artistic value of one’s teeth. The dental areas/spaces have advanced technological equipment and the best part is WTTW’s Food Channel. The attentive and professional tone of the dental assistants and office staff is noted as they work alongside Dr. Brand. Personally, for over 50 years I’ve walked into these offices and received excellent dental care and advice. Again, thanks! Christina

Ended up breaking my tooth in a skateboard accident. Dr. Brand saw me that day. She capped the tooth and it looks like nothing happened. I tell people I broke a tooth and show the repair and they are always amazed by how normal it looks (down to the slight yellowing to match my natural teeth). Would highly recommend for cosmetic dental procedures.

Dr Brand is amazing. We travel from the far suburbs to see her. She is kind, patient and down to earth. Listens to our concerns and is an excellent dentist. She is a perfectionist in her work, which is exactly what we want with our oral care.

When a tooth goes AWOL, sideways, you name it, you would think a trip to the dentist would be the last form of pleasure on Earth. Au contraire, mon ami. Premier Dentistry is my favorite destination for tooth repairs and maintenance. Dr. Brand is superb. Everyone at Premier is tops.

From our patient testimonials
Highly recommend. been going to Dr. Brand and Premier Dentistry for years, and they are the best dental practice I've ever been to. Dr. Brand is very knowledgeable, kind, and helpful, as are all of the hygienists, receptionists, and other people there. They make communications and appointments easy, are flexible, and always discuss costs thoroughly with me beforehand. Dr. Brand has solved some dental issues that other practices either caused or had no solution for. I wish I could bring them with me when I move out of Chicago soon!

Before your visit

Useful information for your next step.

Understand the fee for the first visit

Start by asking what the examination fee includes. An examination, diagnostic images and treatment may be separate charges. Explain whether you are calling about pain, an injury or a routine dental need so your questions address the type of visit you are seeking.

Before agreeing to care, ask which charges apply that day and which relate to treatment that may follow. If a fee depends on what the dentist finds, ask when you can review the estimate and what could change it.

The examination

Ask the price of the initial assessment and whether any diagnostic services would add to that amount.

Proposed treatment

Request an explanation of the recommended care, its purpose and the estimated charges before deciding.

Follow-up care

Ask whether the estimate includes follow-up visits or whether those visits would carry separate fees.

Check your specific dental benefits

Insurance benefits depend on the particular plan, the provider and the services involved. An insurer's name alone does not establish network participation or coverage. Have your plan name, member ID and group number ready when contacting your insurer and the office.

Ask your insurer whether the dentist is in network for your exact plan at this office location. Then ask how your deductible, annual benefit maximum, coinsurance and any waiting periods apply. Benefits used earlier in the year may affect what remains.

An estimate of insurance benefits is different from a final claim decision. Ask how a difference between the estimated insurance payment and the actual payment would affect your balance.

Network participation

Check the specific dentist, office address and plan network. Filing a claim and participating in a network are different arrangements.

Coverage restrictions

Ask about exclusions, frequency limits, waiting periods and any authorization requirements relevant to the proposed care.

Your estimated share

Ask your insurer to explain the deductible, percentage you pay and remaining annual benefits in dollar terms where possible.

Prepare for a cost conversation

Keep your insurance card and any existing treatment estimate nearby. If you have a written benefit summary, identify the section covering the proposed service. Record the date of your insurance call and any reference number so you can follow up on the same information.

If you are paying without dental insurance, ask for the self-pay fee and when payment is due. If you want to explore payment arrangements, ask which options are offered and request the full terms before applying or agreeing.

Ask for an itemized estimate

Separate the total charge, estimated insurance payment and estimated patient responsibility. Ask how long the estimate applies and what findings could change it.

Review payment terms

For any credit arrangement you are considering, review the APR, fees, repayment schedule and promotional conditions, including any deferred interest.

When symptoms need attention before paperwork

For tooth pain, a broken tooth or swelling, describe the symptoms when you first contact a dental office. Include when they started, whether they are getting worse and any fever or recent injury. Ask about fees during that conversation without postponing attention to worsening symptoms.

Difficulty breathing or swallowing, rapidly spreading facial or neck swelling, serious facial injury or bleeding that will not stop requires immediate emergency medical care. Call 911 for breathing difficulty or another life-threatening emergency.

Your questions

Frequently asked questions

About dental visit costs and insurance and visiting Premier Dentistry.

How much will my dental visit cost?

The cost depends on the assessment and any diagnostic services or treatment involved. Ask the office for the examination fee and what it includes. Before proceeding with proposed treatment, request an itemized estimate that identifies separate charges and your estimated responsibility.

How do I find out whether my insurance applies here?

Give the office your exact plan information and ask your insurer to check the dentist and the address at 30 N Michigan Ave, Suite 1503, Chicago, IL 60602. Ask separately about network participation and coverage for the proposed services. Keep the insurer's reference number for your records.

What is the difference between a deductible and an annual maximum?

A deductible is an amount you may need to pay before certain benefits apply. An annual maximum is the most the plan pays toward covered care during its benefit year. It generally is not a cap on your own dental spending. Your plan documents explain which services count toward each.

What should I ask if I do not have dental insurance?

Ask for the self-pay examination fee, any separate diagnostic charges and when payment is due. For recommended care, request a written estimate. If you are considering a payment arrangement, ask about its eligibility requirements, total cost, interest and fees before agreeing.

Does a benefit estimate guarantee what insurance will pay?

No. Final payment can depend on eligibility on the service date, remaining benefits, plan rules and the claim review. Ask your insurer what the estimate covers and which conditions could change payment. Ask how any remaining patient balance would be handled.

Should I wait for insurance information if I have swelling or severe pain?

Seek prompt dental advice for severe pain, swelling, fever or worsening symptoms while checking your benefits. For trouble breathing or swallowing, rapidly spreading facial or neck swelling, or uncontrolled bleeding, seek emergency medical care immediately. Insurance paperwork should not delay care for those warning signs.
